  • 200,000,000.0 - Gallon of   Water Use
    Comments: This is a reduction of 200,000,000 gallons of water per year. The University has reduced overall purchased water consumption by 20% below 1980 levels. This reduction has occurred even with the expansion of the campus -- an increase of 20% in conditioned square footage. In the year 1980, water purchase was 1 billion gallons. It has been reduced to 800,000,000 gallons per year and still remains at around 800,000,000 gallons per year in 2007.
