Returns of expired or damaged epinephrine CFC propellant aerosols. Product is shipped to Coolgas of Austin, Texas for recycling. Coolgas recycles fiberboard packaging, plastic mouthpiece, aluminum canisters and CFC propellant. Only the actual medicine is destroyed.

Environmental Benefits:

Less CFC released into the atmosphere to deplete ozone layer, although the CFCs are still used for refrigeration. Incineration, as previously done (and most common practice), releases more than 50% of the CFCs directly into the environment, even with the best pollution controls.

Details of Reductions

Additional Information :

Payback for this project was immediate, saving us approximately 25ยข per pound. We also saved approximately $1,500. Due to reduced manifesting and reporting.
